The Toei Mita Line 6500 series is a new type of train introduced in preparation for the Mita Line's eight-car expansion plan. In the future, it is planned for the line to run directly beyond the Tokyu Meguro Line to the Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line and the Sotetsu Shin-Yokohama Line. The Toei Mita Line 6500 series is manufactured by Kinki Sharyo, the same company that manufactured the Hibiya Line 13000 series, so it is likely a new type of train built based on the Hibiya Line 13000 series.
