Revenge at the Wray Caton Moor Fell Race!

Welcome back to Conquer The Fells! Just three days after sweating it out on the tarmac at the Wray 10k, I'm back in my natural habitat: the open fells. Tonight, we’re swapping our usual Tuesday night Bowland Fell Runners social run for a proper race. We're taking on the Wray Caton Moor fell race—a brilliant BM category route packing just over 10km of distance and nearly 400m of climbing into a brutal "race of two halves." Expect a gradual, grassy grind up to the Caton Moor trig point, followed by a quad-destroying plummet back down to the village (with a few knee-deep bogs thrown in for good measure). In this video, I break down the course profile, share why I opted for the minimalist Inov8 X-Talon 212s over my usual Mudtalons, and try to hold off the local competition. Stick around for some stunning views of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, Amy's scenic tour, and a spectacular mid-race faceplant that I'm just glad my Insta360 caught on camera!
