The SAPS, together with various law enforcement agencies, conducted a high-visibility Operation Shanela in Reiger Park and Actonville as part of ongoing efforts to combat crime across the Ekurhuleni District. The operation targeted illegal firearms, drugs, undocumented immigrants, illegal businesses and wanted suspects through roadblocks, vehicle inspections, compliance checks and tracing operations.
