Saving koalas
1300KOALAZ has been working hard over the last 18 months trying to get Adelaide councils to install virtual fencing to help safeguard koalas trying to cross roads. Finally we have our first council onboard, The City of Tee Tree Gully. This partnership will hopefully save not only koalas but also other wildlife from the danger our ever expanding urbanisation poses to them. Other councils are also showing signs of interest and we are going to need to purchase more of the virtual fencing. Each kilometre costs over $9000. Donations can be made via our website www.1300koalaz.com.
