Ever biked straight into the Wild West? 🚴‍♀️🐂 This ride on Fort Worth’s Trinity Trails takes us from the peaceful Botanic Garden all the way to the legendary Stockyards, where cowboy history comes alive! This scenic trail winds along the Trinity River, through Trinity Park and Panther Island, before ending at one of Texas’s most iconic destinations—the Fort Worth Stockyards. From skyline views to longhorn cattle drives, this ride has it all. This ride took place November 2, 2024. 🌟 Highlights from this adventure: ✅ Smooth, scenic miles on the Trinity Trails ✅ Exploring Panther Island with its parks and riverfront views ✅ Classic Texas eats—yes, we stopped for chicken-fried steak! ✅ The famous Stockyards cattle drive, held twice daily ✅ A fun detour to the Fort Worth Miniature Railroad, a 1950s classic 💡 Did You Know? The Trinity Trails were born out of flood-control projects after a devastating 1949 flood. What was once a floodplain has become one of the most beloved urban trail systems in Texas, stretching over 100 miles along the river. 🍽️ After our ride, we locked up the bikes and enjoyed a Texas-sized chicken-fried steak at a Stockyards restaurant! 🚲 What’s your favorite bike trail in Texas?
