Even Korean women themselves don't want to date Korean men — and this didn't come out of nowhere. In this video, I explain what the 4B MOVEMENT is, a feminist movement that originated in South Korea as a direct reaction to violence, gender inequality, and the extreme social pressure imposed on women. 4B advocates for four "no's": no sex, dating, marriage, or children with men. Sounds radical? Maybe. But before judging, we need to understand the context: a deeply patriarchal society, high rates of sexual violence, online harassment, wage inequality, and very little female representation in power. Here, the idea is not to romanticize or demonize the movement, but to explain why it exists, how it works, and what it says about the reality of women in South Korea — and, in many aspects, throughout the world. And yes, this is a channel about Asian dramas. Precisely for this reason, talking about feminism here is essential. Dramas often portray an idealized man who doesn't exist, and we need to watch these stories with maturity, understanding that they are fantasy, not a reflection of reality.
