Cheese scones are perfect for brunch or afternoon tea - Chef tutor Andrew Roberts shows us how to make them at our Kings Cross Cookery School This recipe is easily adaptable. If you want a strong cheese flavour you can use extra mature Cheddar like Andrew has done however most hard cheeses will work – parmesan or Comté would both offer a tangy, rich flavour. Ingredients: 225g self-raising flour, plus extra for dusting 1 tsp baking powder 50g salted butter, diced 100g extra mature Cheddar, finely grated 150ml milk, plus extra for brushing We are the only supermarket to have our own Cookery Schools.
