Installing A Gas Line in the Crawl Space

In Part 1 of this 3-part series, I show how I installed a 1/2" black iron propane gas line through the crawl space of a home to supply a free-standing gas fireplace from an outdoor propane bottle. In this video I cover: • Planning the gas line route • Finding the best path through the crawl space • Drilling access holes • Assembling and threading black iron pipe • Running the line from outside to behind the fireplace ⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️ Gas piping work must be done under permit and installed to code. Always check with your local regulations and inspection requirements before starting any gas project. Gas lines and appliances should NEVER be installed without proper permits, inspections, and code compliance. If you are not qualified to perform gas work safely, hire a licensed professional.
