Everybody Tells Me Avery

*Everybody Tells Me Avery* is one of the most unique tribute songs we've created through #HeartAndSoulTributes. Written by **Kelly Presley of #PeytonsPurpose**, this song isn't about loss—it's about love, memories, and introducing a little girl to the uncle she never had the chance to meet. Through family stories, photographs, and the memories shared by those who loved him most, Avery's laughter, kindness, humor, love of music, Harry Potter, boxer dogs, and family continue to live on. This song was created as a gift for his 3-month-old niece so that as she grows, she can know the man everyone remembers so fondly. For this project, I'm also introducing animated storybook scenes into my tribute videos, blending real family photographs with custom animations to help bring Avery's story to life in a way that children can understand and treasure for years to come. Because sometimes the greatest gift we can leave behind is not how we died... but how we lived. For Avery. ❤️ #HeartAndSoulTributes #PeytonsPurpose #EverybodyTellsMeAvery #TributeSong #FamilyStories #LegacyOfLove #RememberingAvery #LoveLivesOn #AngelFamilies #HealingThroughMusic #MemoriesMatter #StorybookTribute #NeverForgotten Lyrics TITLE: Everybody Tells Me Avery [Verse 1] Everybody tells me Avery Had bright blue eyes and messy hair, He could make a whole room giggle Just by walking in somewhere. He loved songs and Harry Potter, Magic wands made out of sticks, Danced around the house so silly, Always laughing at his tricks. [Chorus] Oh, Uncle Avery, I'm just getting started Learning who you were, Everybody shares your stories So your voice is still heard. You would sing loud on car rides, Make the whole world feel alright, Everybody says you left them Smiling bigger, shining bright. [Verse 2] He loved puppies, big brown boxers, Rap songs and mariachi bands, He could sign with both his fingers, Talk in Spanish just like that. People smiled when he walked by them, 'Cause he made them feel enough, Even strangers in the grocery line Felt a little extra loved. [Verse 3] Everybody loved being near him, Funny, smart, and kind to all, Though he wasn't great at football, He'd throw touchdowns to the wrong side of the ball. Teachers said he was their favorite, Always helping where he could, And when he stood beside his sister, Somehow life felt twice as good. [Chorus] Oh, Uncle Avery, I'm just getting started Learning who you were, Everybody shares your stories So your voice is still heard. You would dance around the kitchen, Spin me like a melody, Everybody says you'd love me Just because I'm family. [Bridge] Sometimes when they show me pictures, I see that twinkle in your eyes, And every story helps me know you Though we met on different sides. Every laugh and every memory, Every picture that I see, Helps me learn the man you were And what you still mean to me. [Final Chorus] Oh, Uncle Avery, I wish I could meet you, Hear your laugh and see your smile, But your love still finds me somehow Across every passing mile. And when I laugh real loud someday, Or dance around the room just right, They might say I still remind them Of Uncle Avery's light. [Outro] So I'll wave my magic wand high, Sing out to the stars above, 'Cause even babies who never met you Can still grow up wrapped in your love. And everybody tells me Avery... Was someone worth remembering.
