Petitti Viburnum Leaf Beetle

We are out in our test garden today and have recently noticed a Viburnum Leaf Beetle issue. These beetles have been an issue in Northeast Ohio for the past few years and it doesn’t look like they will go away any time soon. Watch this video with Noelle, Horticulturist and Education Director of Petitti Garden Centers, to learn more about how to identify and remove Viburnum Leaf Beetle as well as how to prevent future damage. It is important to remember to spray the tops and bottoms of leaves when treating with any sort of spray, especially with organic sprays. Sprays such as Bonide’s® Captain Jack’s Dead Bug Brew are great for removing the immediate problem, but for longer-lasting effects try to apply a systemic fertilizer to the soil.
