Assimil French Series Review

Hello everyone! I am a fourth year pharmacy student who enjoyed learning languages throughout undergrad and pharmacy school. French is the 3rd language that I have studied. While I was starting to learn French, I realized that there were so many books out there. I didn't know which one to buy over the others. However, I found the Assimil series for French to be superb. The lessons starts off gradually slow using real speech that allow you to slowly absorb all the verb conjugations without remembering tables upon tables. The series really made learning fun and enjoyable. Was it hard work? Yes. Was it super easy? No. Learning any language is hard work. But, Assimil made that work go by easier than other textbooks. The lessons are great and build on one another. The audio overall is excellent and surpasses other book's audio quality easily. I recommend buying Assimil books from Schoenhof's Foreign Books if you live in America because they usually offer the best prices for the series.
