Lobster rolls, Italian cuisine, clam chowder, and great pastries are what we think of when it comes to Boston food, and we certainly checked all of these off our most iconic Boston foods list. There were, however, some new strange and interesting restaurants we also wanted to find. One of which was Ivory Pearl. When we say this restaurant is unlike any you've ever been to, that might be an understatement. This seafood-focused restaurant and raw bar in Brookline’s Washington Square offers outstanding presentations and rather unique seafood twists on common food items. The little energetic spot on Beacon Street also makes award-winning cocktails! They've become a bit famous on social media due to the popularity of the tentacle hot dog, but really everything on this menu looks different and appetizing. https://www.ivorypearlbar.com/ Mida was another one of our favorite, newer spots in Boston. Mida is an inspired Italian, black-owned restaurant near the South End. We both agree that this spot might be one of, if not THE best restaurant we've eaten at on our travels! Douglass Williams, the owner, and chef was named by Food & Wine as one of the top 10 Best New Chefs in America 2020! https://midarestaurant.com/mida-boston Along with the newer restaurants, we wanted to eat our way through some of the most iconic Boston foods, so for that, we headed to the North End. We made stops at well-known (some touristy) restaurants. Bova's for some of the best cannolis in Boston, Neptune's Oyster for lobster rolls, and Regina's pizzeria which is a long-standing staple of Boston's food scene. Of course, we also stopped through Quincy Market, but perhaps the two most historic buildings were Union Oyster House and Bell in Hand Tavern. Both claim to be the oldest continuous restaurant and taverns respectively. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Watch our Boston Travel from the start: • Playlist Click these LINKS to see where we get our MUSIC and SOUNDS: Music: https://www.musicbed.com Sound FX: https://www.epidemicsound.com/referra... ✅ Recommended playlists: • Playlist ✅ For business inquiries contact us at [email protected] ✅ Let's connect: Facebook - @thedetourduo Instagram - thedetour_duo Blog - https://thedetourduo.com/
