But other times God allows trials, not because we have sinned, but because they have a purpose. Many Christians have adopted within their faith what some have called the "Theology of Retribution," which is nothing more than thinking that the trials we go through are a proportional consequence of our sins. In this exposition of 1 Peter 1:1-7, Pastor Miguel Núñez addresses the topic of trials and how they shape us and measure our faith in God. All of this is based on the fact that God allows many of the difficulties we go through in our Christian life for three reasons: to test us, to humble us, and to know what is in our hearts.
