Samaveda Prakruti Gana Aagneya Parva Prathama Khanda. Chapter 1 Khanda 1 Samaveda has 2 Samhitas, one is Archika Samhita and second is Gana Samhita or Sama Samhita. Sama Samhita is also called as " Prakruti Ganam " . Chapter 1 has 12 Khandas, 114 mantras and 180 Sama Gana. In chapter 1, on 114 mantras 180 Sama Gana are sung. These 180 Sama Gana are Agni Devata stuti. These are called Grama Geya Gana. All these Sama Gana are there in Gayatri Chandas. Agni is the first element (Tatva) of the entire universe, this is why prayers to Agni is performed first in all Vedas. "Agnim Dutam Vrinimahe" Agni is ambassador of all Devata. All the oblation through Agni reaches Devata which in return gives us the ultimate fruit. "Agre Nayati Eti Agnihi" The one who takes us forward is Agni.
