"The lyrics encapsulate the pain of seeing someone move on while you're grappling with the remnants of a fading romance,". Musically, Orbits is a combination of the trio's styles and influences and a shared vision for jazz experimentation and interplay. The resulting sound is a clash of jazz, psych rock, R&B and soul with the members citing Thundercat, Sade, Philip Glass and influential Brazilian composer Arthur Verocai.
