ASMR - Preparing Pointe Shoes with a Ballerina

In honor of our Pointe Shoe Fund, Pacific Northwest Ballet's newest Principal dancer Sarah-Gabrielle Ryan is taking you through her process of preparing her pointe shoes, ASMR-style. Each dancer is unique and needs a slightly different pointe shoe. Even though they are customized to each dancer’s feet, they still need adjustments to support them properly when they dance. PNB’s pointe dancers will use over 2,000 pairs of pointe shoes to rehearse and perform PNB’s 2023-2024 season. At a cost of $120 per pair, we need your support to keep our dancers on their toes.
