【もう一つの能登】被災地で聞いた言葉。能登の現状と想いを伝えたい。｜定年後の日本一周旅〈北陸編⑧〉能登 Vol.3

A couple in their 60s, continuing their round-Japan trip in a campervan, visits the disaster-stricken areas of the Noto Peninsula and shares their current situation. Their journey around the Noto Peninsula was heartbreaking, filled with poignant scenes and heartfelt stories. They witnessed sights they wouldn't have seen simply by visiting tourist spots. They encountered Noto's continued efforts toward recovery. Beyond just documenting the earthquake, they also touch upon the lives and thoughts of those living in temporary housing, continuing to operate businesses in temporary shops, and those moving forward. They hear stories from the owner of Takarayu, who served in the fire brigade at the time of the Noto Peninsula earthquake, prompting them to reconsider what it means to support Noto and what we can do. While traveling, we encounter beautiful scenery and delicious food. But perhaps what truly leaves a lasting impression are the encounters with the people who live in that land. For us, this trip was about encountering "another Noto" beyond mere sightseeing, and it deeply moved us. And what we aim for is not a trip around Japan to increase the number of places we've visited, but a journey where we meet people and our hearts are moved. Noto taught us that "travel moves the heart, and encounters enrich life."
