I'm Remus and here is my story of how I arrived in New Zealand:    • Ep.3: Vasile Remus Coman.  Cum am cumparat...   Today I'm talking first of all about Kale (Brassica oleracea var. sabellica). Very widespread in New Zealand and "guilty" of producing over 70% of the fodder requirement during the cold autumn-winter period. It is a fantastic fodder plant: cheap to grow, easy to sow, resistant to drought, diseases or pests, does not cause any problems in cattle due to overfeeding, grows very well during the cold period when ryegrass, alfalfa or clover no longer grow and in extreme conditions it can even be silaged or baled. I hope it will catch on with livestock farmers in Romania because it is extremely profitable. The next step is for someone to take heart, import it and distribute it to farmers.
