Tipps vom Segelmacher für mehr Performance! Segel richtig vermessen bei der 7seas | BootsProfis

Attention! Things are getting really technical again! Together with SailService Germany, we are measuring our old headsail because it's time for a new one! We always used the small genoa in more extreme sailing conditions because, unlike our large headsail, it doesn't need to be reefed as quickly. Accordingly, it's now well used and worn out – we don't know its age. So we ordered a new headsail from our friends at SailService. When you want to buy a new sail, the question immediately arises as to how the sailmaker will get the right measurements for the new sail. The genoa should be cut differently to match our Comfortina 39 with its longer luff and leech. Jana and Sascha from Sailservice immediately agreed to do the measuring themselves, and so we were able to record this video with them! They show us which measurements are needed, how to take the most accurate measurements, and answer a few questions for us about performance and sail cutting. It was a very interesting day for us, and of course, it's a lot of fun to get to grips with the actual propulsion of our sailboat. Here's the blog post on our website for comments and more information: https://www.bootsprofis.tv/post/segel... If you have any questions for us about our planned FAQ in the videos, please let us know: [email protected] The story of our headsail continues! We're invited to visit the production facility in Gdansk and witness the making of our sail. A behind-the-scenes look at the sailmaker, so to speak! But for now, enjoy this episode of BootsProfis! Best wishes from Berlin and a great weekend to you all! Hendrik & Dominik __ If you're also looking for your perfect sailboat and need support—be it with finding the right type, searching for a boat, or viewings—we can help! Just send us an email with some information about yourself, and we'll get back to you! You can reach us and learn more here: https://www.BootsProfis.tv or send an email to [email protected] __ Disclaimer: The comment function is blocked by YouTube because our kids are obviously featured in the videos about our Caribbean sailing trip. YouTube is currently having a problem with this and has blocked the comment functions on many channels with children. We hope to get the comments back soon. __ THE JOURNEY OF THE 7seas: ⇒Website and blog: http://www.sy7seas.com ⇒Facebook:   / sy7seas   ⇒Instagram   / bootsprofis   __ FAQ: Compulsory schooling and traveling with children!? https://bit.ly/2GcIjtN __ What do we use to make our videos?
