This is important, for example, when working rape stubbles for the first pass, so that the soil is not loosened too deep and the material is not worked in too deeply. As an addition, the machine can also be equipped with a leading knife roller. The rape stubble and organic matter in front of the discs can be shredded by the knives on the knife roller, so that another shallow pass is made before the main cultivation pass. If you deactivate the knife roller, you can see a clear difference. The long stubble is left standing and the material on the ground is not cut as short and not as well incorporated as when working with the activated knife roller. With the Catros+ 3003 there are 11 different rollers from AMAZONE to choose from, so that, depending on the soil type and condition, a suitable roller can be selected for reconsolidation, crumbling and depth control. Here the Catros+ is equipped with a U-profile roller. The advantage of this roller is that the U fills up with soil and then rolls soil on soil, giving a very gentle form of reconsolidation.
