11:4 The LORD my God said, “Feed the flock destined for slaughter.” 11:5 Those who bought them say, “I will slaughter them without sin,” and those who sold them say, “I have become rich, and I will praise the LORD.” Their shepherds have no pity on them. 11:6 The LORD says, “I will no longer have pity on the inhabitants of this land, but I will deliver them each into the hand of their neighbor and into the hand of the king; and though they strike this land, I will not deliver them from their hands.” 11:7 So I fed the flock destined for slaughter; indeed, they are pitiful sheep. I took two staffs, one called Grace and the other Union, and I fed the flock. 11:8 In one month I removed the three shepherds, for in my heart I was abhorrent of them, and in their hearts they hated me. 11:9 I said, “I will not feed you. Let the dead die, let the perish perish, and let the rest devour one another.” 11:10 Then I took the staff called Grace and broke it, to nullify the covenant I had made with all the peoples. 11:11 I nullified it that very day, and the poor sheep who kept my word knew that this was the word of the LORD. 11:12 I said to them, “If you think it right, give me my wages; otherwise, leave it.” So they weighed out thirty pieces of silver and made them my wages. 11:13 The LORD said to me, “Throw the wages they have paid me to the potter.” So I threw the thirty pieces of silver to the potter in the house of the LORD. 11:14 I also broke the second staff called Union, to sever the bond between Judah and Israel.
