Dynamic award winning artist Benon Lutaaya (Uganda) shares his thoughts with us
Born in Uganda, Benon Lutaaya is a Johannesburg-based visual artist working in a distinct and ever-evolving mixed-media style. He holds a BFA with Education from Kyambogo University, Kampala. Although known for his contemporary paper collage portraiture work, his technique is constantly evolving. ART AFRICA visited Lutaaya in his studio at August House in Doornfontein to talk about his journey as an artist, how art can address social issues and the importance of building a comprehensive profile.
