Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Özgür Özel, along with thousands of citizens, marched from Ankara's Kuğulu Park to the Çankaya Municipality building following the detention of Çankaya Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner. During the march, Özel answered questions from the press, stating, “Çankaya is not just any district. When the Chairmen of the Republican People's Party close their eyes and fall asleep, they entrust the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the Çankaya Presidential Palace, the party's headquarters, the headquarters of all political parties, and most importantly, Anıtkabir, to the Mayor of Çankaya.
