This is an essential scratch to learn because it’s a stepping stone to more complicated scratch combos. So I perform my tear scratches by doing 2 pushes forward and 1 pull back. Now once you’ve mastered this scratch, you can do it faster and faster and eventually your tear scratch will become a swirl scratch. So to do a Joe Cooley scratch, first do a swirl scratch then follow it up with 2 chirp scratches.
