Most people continue to use REST because it's the accepted norm, despite all its shortcomings. We'll try to disrupt this by using Chord, my own JSON-RPC-based network layer framework, which we've been using in production for over a year. During this talk, we'll see how the Developer Experience improves with types flowing from the back-end to the front-end. We'll learn how to shape your reality using Proxy and Reflection. We'll explore special cases where a message is more than just JSON. We'll abstract away the transport layer and try adding elements of the Sync-Engine. The talk will be of interest to frontend and, especially, full-stack developers at mid-level and above working with meta-frameworks. The talk will cover technologies such as Chord, TypeScript, and SvelteKit/Next/Nuxt.
