Currently Valentina Shevchenko is the UFC Women's Flyweight Champion and without a doubt one of the best female martial artists ever. Here's an old and previously unpublished personal interview I did with Valentina back around Christmas 2010 at the famous WMC Muaythai camp in Lamai. At the time, Valentina was undoubtedly the best female Muaythai fighter in the world and would regularly train and holiday on Koh Samui with her coach and her family. We became Muaythai friends back then, I felt honoured and inspired and often watched her train and spar at the camp, but never dared to spar with her myself. Just watching her giving all the pro's a very hard time was enough for me. The rest, as they say, is history!
