We Went Up The Forgotten Route To NZ’s Unknown Lake

A remote off-track traverse through the mountains above the Dart River, our the back of Queenstown in New Zealand’s South Island. In this video we climb a steep dry creek route to reach Lake Unknown, an isolated alpine lake hidden beneath Mount Nox and Mount Chaos, before continuing cross-country through unmarked terrain and descending into the Rockburn Valley on the other side.No trail. No huts.
