upper sthayi varisai is composed by saint sri Purandhara dhasar in 14th century. its one of fundamental exercise in carnatic music to practice higher notes in sonds. also sthayi is known as octave in western theory. upper sthayi means higher octave. this video is my very own teaching samples for you to know value of this lesson and practice it with your self. this audio is recorded on live camera. its our very own creation.
