The KX327 2-Stroke Is FINALLY Real… And It Changes Everything

It's finally here. Kawasaki just dropped the all-new 2027 KX327 and KX327X, and it's the first big-bore two-stroke they've built in over 20 years. In this video we break down everything we know so far, why this is huge news for the sport, and why you should be excited even if you're not in the market for a smoker. This is a completely new fuel-injected 327cc two-stroke engine wrapped in a KX450-derived aluminum chassis, coming in right around the weight of a 250 four-stroke. And the big story for a lot of you: there's an X cross-country model from day one, not just a moto bike with a kickstand bolted on. Here's what stood out to us: All-new 327cc fuel-injected two-stroke engine, first big Kawasaki two-stroke in 20+ years KX327X cross-country model gets a 6-speed transmission (the KX327 moto version runs a 5-speed) Electric start, power modes, hydraulic clutch, KYB suspension, lightweight aluminum frame Newly designed exhaust valve system, replacing the old KIPS Rideology smartphone app connectivity for settings and maintenance tracking KX327X extras: 2.2 gallon translucent tank, hand shields, skid plate, linkage guard, 18 inch rear wheel, kickstand Premix, no oil injection, that old-school mix-your-own-gas feel No counterbalancer, so we'll be watching how they handled vibration Available late 2026, pricing north of $9,000 We've got to give some credit to KTM here for keeping two-strokes alive over the last two decades and showing the rest of the industry there's still a market. The fact that Kawasaki built a brand new gas engine, not an electric bike, says a lot about where the sport is headed. This thing is built for guys to have fun at the local level, vet races on the track and the woods and desert on the X.
