Cori Grămescu: cum a trecut prin depresie
Globally, depression currently affects over 260 million people. Depression is a health problem that can persist for long periods of time, with a major impact on the quality of life. The number of women affected by depression is higher than that of men. It is estimated that in poor countries, between 75 and 85 percent of people do not receive treatment. Depression must be approached in the most serious way. People who have prolonged sadness and an acute lack of desire for life, work, or spending time with loved ones should consult a psychiatrist and psychotherapist. Guest on the CSID.RO Live show, Cori Grămescu, lifestyle and nutrition coach, spoke about the depression she went through and how physical activity can be a help in combating depression. How Cori Grămescu overcame depression "I had two encounters with depression, a good version and a less good one that I went through. During the first episode, although I was in a form of therapy, I was not patient with myself and forced myself on the sports side, but also on the workload. It seemed to me that if I loaded myself with many activities, I would no longer have time to suffer from depression. But this behavior worsened and prolonged my condition. And that's how I struggled with depressive episodes. When you suffer from depression, not all days are terrible. There are days when you are functional, but also days when you can't get out of bed. But in general, the general condition is bad. The feeling I had was that everything I was doing was happening with great effort. Fortunately, I managed to overcome that moment, with efforts and difficulties. My depression reappeared at the end of the previous year, on a bad background in "personally and with a lot of insecurity in the professional area. As an entrepreneur in the fitness area, I was affected by the pandemic. All this anxiety-provoking climate, this insecurity and lack of hope, made depression come back violently," Cori Grămescu confessed to us.
