Ohad Naharin ARBOS (excerpt #2)
The second part of this non-narrative work, commissioned from acclaimed choreographer Ohad Naharin by Sydney Dance Company's former artistic director, Graeme Murphy. Later the work entered the repertoire of Batsheva Dance Company where Ohad was appointed artistic director and resident choreographer (dancers include Adrian Batchelor and Susan Barling, with Paul Mercurio, Louise Deleur, Lea Francis, Susan Laraghy, Dale Pengelly, Carl Plaisted, Darren Spowart, Kim Walker). In Ohad's words: Arbos is "a stone floating in the air or "a space somewhere between heaven and hell, a sort of passageway to the place where wisdom dwells".
