I had already planned to cover Sentimental Crisis, so when it played during the last episode of season 3, it felt like fate was telling me that I'd made the right decision; but also to hurry up! I put much work all of my releases, and this piece is no exception as you can tell! A challenging piece to both arrange and to play. I had fun putting it together, but as always the pressure of a coming deadline makes me feel like I perhaps could've improved it one more percent if I had the time. Ideally I wanted to get this cover out the door a month ago but I was too busy so I had it scheduled for last week. I'm glad I took that extra week to polish it though. The cover is almost as high tempo as the original (153 and 167), but I dialed it down 3 bpm as I felt it was too fast. I dabbled with the idea of lowering it down as far as 160 but that felt too slow, it's always tough to decide. However, if you'd like to play this but think it looks too difficult, don't worry! Lower it down to say, 150 and remove some of the crazy glissandos and apreggios, and you can do it. The deadlines also tire me out, so now I'm going to take a well earned few hours to rest before starting on this weekend's projects. Have a great weekend! Thanks for watching!
