Neuropsychological Rehabilitation in Pediatric Epilepsy: A Case of Global Cognitive Impairment

This presentation describes a clinical case of neuropsychological rehabilitation in an 11-year-old pediatric patient with generalized epilepsy, 22q11.2 deletion syndrome, and global cognitive impairment with predominant attentional and memory deficits. The study was conducted at the Cognitive Neurohabilitation Unit of the National Institute of Pediatrics (Mexico) under the supervision of Dr. Eduardo Espinosa Garamendi. It presents the patient's clinical profile, comprehensive neuropsychological assessment, individualized rehabilitation protocol based on LEGO-type Neurotherapy, and both quantitative and qualitative post-intervention outcomes. The case highlights the importance of integrating standardized neuropsychological assessments with functional clinical observations to obtain a more comprehensive evaluation of rehabilitation outcomes in children with complex neurological conditions.
