【第05夜】実験で比布と剣淵に停車する特急宗谷で最果ての駅、稚内へ キハ261系0番台 / JR北海道特急完全制覇の道・3日目:旭川→稚内

On the third day of my journey to conquer all of JR Hokkaido's limited express trains, I headed for the remotest of places on the Soya Main Line, Wakkanai. As part of a social experiment on the Soya Line, trains made special stops at Pippu and Kenbuchi, stations they normally pass through. Even though they were making special stops at two stations, the departure times for standard stops at Asahikawa, Wassamu, and Shibetsu remained unchanged. The Soya Line between Nayoro and Wakkanai is considering closure of almost all stations except for those currently served by limited express trains.
