The History of Texas Karate: American Karate Academy Review
This month I spent time a Texas martial arts legend, Jim Choate. This man was part of the start of martial arts in the Dallas, Texas area. Thanks to the introduction and spread of Karate/Tae Kwon Do in Dallas, Martial Arts was able to spread as fast as it did in the South. Jim Choate comes from a long line of legends including Pat Burleson and Jhoon Rhee. Children in the Cedar Hill area of Dallas now a chance to be a part of this lineage and continue on the lessons and mindset that starting in Korea many years ago. I personally think this is a great place to start your child's martial arts journey for the first couple of years before they decide to branch out to other styles and gyms. Thank you for the team at AKA for having me this month and being a part of my journey.
