Conjuntos y predicados - Cápsula Matemática 001

Mathematics is the discipline that studies objective abstractions. A set is an abstraction that helps us agree on the elements we will consider in a discussion. The important thing when defining a set is to be absolutely clear about whether an element x is or is not an element of the set. There should be no ambiguities. Often, sets are defined with predicates or "properties" that the elements may or may not have. In this video, I discuss the first things you should understand about sets and how they relate to predicate logic. At the end, I discuss the "Law of the Excluded Middle," which was first presented by Aristotle: "Everything either is or is not."
