This is a collection of automated announcements from Shin-Kani Station on the Meitetsu Hiromi Line, located in Kani City, Gifu Prefecture. It's an above-ground station with two platforms and three tracks, and is manned during certain hours. However, station staff are always on duty at the transfer gates (described below) during train arrival and departure times. JR Kani Station on the Taita Line is adjacent, allowing transfers. The Hiromi Line's operation is divided at this station, with all trains bound for Inuyama and Mitake turning back at this station. Since IC cards cannot be used for trains bound for Mitake, a transfer gate is located on platform 1, which is exclusively for trains bound for Mitake. The automated announcements are detailed announcements. They are the same type as those used at Fuso Station and Asakura Station. Platform 1 has only one speaker, and its location is poor, so care must be taken when recording. Platforms 2 and 3 share a common speaker, and while the installation conditions are generally poor, some speakers are conveniently located. The volume is very loud on each platform. There is a volume setting for nighttime sounds, but they are still quite loud. All trains heading towards Mitake generally use platform 1, while those heading towards Inuyama generally use platform 3, with platform 2 rarely used. Platform 2 is used for overnight stays and for μSky trains around 6am on weekdays, and during the daytime, it seems that trains being sent out from Inuyama are sometimes parked here as well (in both cases, the announcements are made as though the train is stopping at the station).
