JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - The Chairman of the National Economic Council (DEN), Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, highlighted several issues in the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program during a seminar on the Rule of Law and Economic Growth at the DEN office on Thursday (June 25, 2026). "The Nutritious Meals Team also invited the Economic Council to a meeting last night, and we provided input. We were forced to make improvements that wouldn't have been necessary if we were starting from scratch, like the 3T (frontier and outermost) regions," said DEN Chairman Luhut. "So, we wasted time arguing among ourselves, which wouldn't have happened if the planning and studies had been done properly from the start. So, our problem is that we didn't prepare a thorough plan for the president's big ideas. That's all our fault," he continued (time code 2:33).
