Not everyone has the stamina on a Sunday night for powerful and challenging dramas such as The Promise, riveting though it is, which explains why Disney-fied escapism such as Wild at Heart is so very popular. This week Danny and Alice realise that the ecosystem at Mara is out of kilter because most of the big game has been sold off. In a Lion King kind of way, the hyenas have taken over the reserve. But since the new boss at Mara is determined to buy Leopard's Den, too, the two vets aren't keen to help him to restore the balance. Meanwhile, Du Plessis is up to his old tricks, namely getting drunk and causing trouble.
