You could be isolated for your protection, keeping you away from people who want to do you harm. You could also be isolated as punishment, like putting a child in a time out for acting up. You also don’t have to be alone to be isolated. There are groups of people who are isolated, like research teams on Antarctica or astronauts on the International Space Station. Isolation comes in all forms and oftentimes, extroverted people want to end that isolation and bring everybody into the spotlight. Sometimes though, those isolated people will do anything to just be left alone.
