Chopping Two Squiers In Half To Build A Double Neck Bass/Guitar

See this guitar in action:    • The Fly on Double Neck Bass/Guitar (U2 liv...   For my first electric guitar build I made a double neck bass/guitar by chopping up and combining a Squier Stratocaster and a Squier Mini Precision Bass. I reused all the original hardware and electronics including the original pickguards. The only new hardware is a stereo 1/4" jack so that the guitar and bass signals are kept separate and can run through different effects. The final weight is 9 pounds 5 ounces (4224g), with a maximum body width of 15 1/4". I worked hard to keep the body as small and light as possible (it's not uncommon for a double neck to be 12 pounds and 18" wide). I also focused a lot on ergonomics to make it comfortable to play and to keep the controls and layout simple.
