Birdwatching in the Caatinga of Ceará during the rainy season, when the Caatinga is green!! In this video, I return to southern Ceará to show a side of this biome that few people know: the rainy season, when the landscape turns completely green and life explodes everywhere. At Sítio Pau Preto, in Potengi (CE), accompanied by the great connoisseur of local fauna, Bob, we recorded birds in full reproductive season, chicks, dawn songs, and migratory species that arrive with the northeastern winter. You will see incredible birds such as the blue-winged parrotlet, the oriole, the red-legged hummingbird, the three-toed rail with its chicks, the saffron finch, the rufous-collared sparrow, the white-necked heron, the white-necked heron, the rufous-collared sparrow, the rufous-fronted hawk, the blue-winged moorhen, and many others. We also showcase aquatic birds that are surprisingly found in the Caatinga, such as the Muscovy duck, black duck, whistling duck, wood stork, and even sightings of jabiru storks and ospreys in the region.
