The 1971 Yamaha R5B 350 Twin Cylinder Two Stroke. Our UK example was registered new in October 1971 and has had just 7 owners from new with Its last recorded owner having bought the bike in 2012. The bike is supplied with a Certificate of authenticity issued by the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club and a host of old MOT certificates and service receipts. Our bike was restored back in 2007 with the original parts being painted, re chromed or polished. The bike was restored to be ridden rather than to sit in a collection and features various modern electrical components hidden away to improve reliability. The Yamaha R5 was made by Yamaha for production years 1970 (R5), 1971 (R5B) and 1972 (R5C). It was the first of the new generation of horizontally split crankcase two strokes that also included the RD350 and culminated in the RD400.
