After the events of The Age of Darkness, the Doctor and Luke Saxon discover the source of the Time Lock that has been tearing reality apart. Following a desperate rescue mission on Gallifrey, the Doctor traces the anomaly to its true origin: the Daleks. Travelling to a Dalek city on Skaro, the pair uncover a shocking truth. The Dalek Emperor has become trapped within the Time Vortex, and the Time Lock is the only thing keeping him imprisoned. Determined to uncover the truth, the Doctor and Luke search for four hidden keys scattered through time itself. But breaking the Time Lock comes at a cost. Beamed aboard the Emperor's flagship, the Doctor finds himself facing an entire Dalek fleet and an enemy driven by hatred, fear, and desperation.
