Drum Major Duncan Macdonald leads the Massed Highland Pipe Bands through Inverness in Scotland

Drum Major Duncan Macdonald leading the massed Scottish Highland pipes and drums through Inverness City centre and along the river Ness. This was part of the Highland Pipe Band fundraising event back in 2017 for the Crocus charity. The tunes being played were "The Green Hills of Tyrol", "When the Battle's o'er" and "Lochanside" and after the bands stopped by the river, they begin marching again to the Northern Meeting park playing "High Road to Gairloch". The bands taking part in this event were Inverness Royal British Legion Pipe Band, City of Inverness Pipe Band, Northern Constabulary (Norcon) Pipe Band, Strathpeffer & District Pipe Band, Tain & District Pipe Band and Sutherland Caledonian Pipe Band. Inverness is a city on Scotland’s northeast coast, where the River Ness meets the Moray Firth. It's the largest city and the cultural capital of the Scottish Highlands.
