Loflied op de langzaamloper (21) - Bohn & Kähler KR 128 D op de Alberdina

In the engine room of the tugboat Alberdina is a Bohn & Kähler KR 128 D, probably built in 1948. According to Klaas van der Vloed, owner of the Alberdina, his KR 128 D is the only one still running. He sailed thousands of miles with it, including four years in the Mediterranean, before he had to replace the tendons in one of the cylinders. A tremendously difficult task, for which he had to have custom-made parts and tools.
