EROSÃO K#1 - PERKUSSION Mariá Portugal lädt Emilio Gordoa Burkhard Beins ein Sound: Bernhard Rupprecht Video: Ellen Trenn Light: Valentin Brux Production: Oliver Ludley Design: Maria Cau Levy EROSÃO @ STAPELTOR The project consists of a series of three concerts based on Mariá Portugal's album EROSÃO ( linktr.ee/vixemariah ) which was released on 2021 by labels Fun in The Church (DE) and Selo Risco (BR). EROSÃO attempts to dissolve hierarchies between song form and other possible ways of organizing sound, moving through the borders of Brazilian popular music, free improvisation and electronic music. The concerts take place at Stapeltor, Duisburg's new socio-cultural center. The results are three films and a short documentary directed by Ellen Trenn. Each concert is an improvised session, each highlighting the album's musical material from a different perspective. The first concert (K#1) features non-pitched percussion. The second concert (K#2) features only electronic instruments. The third concert (K#3) features an acoustic ensemble of brass instruments, double bass and percussion.
