"Today, the Word of God invites us to rediscover our identity as God's chosen people, loved and sent by Him. In the First Reading (Exodus 19:2-6a), the Lord reminds the people of Israel of all that He did to liberate them and calls them to live a special covenant, becoming a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. In the Second Reading (Romans 5:6-11), Saint Paul reminds us that Christ gave his life for us while we were still sinners, revealing the immensity of divine love. In the Gospel (Matthew 9:36–10:8), Jesus contemplates the crowds with compassion, sees their spiritual needs, and sends the disciples to announce the Kingdom of God, heal the sick, and bring hope to those who suffer.
