Rescued From Darkness | Luke 8:26-39

What happens when Jesus confronts the darkest powers of evil? In Luke 8:26–39, Jesus encounters a man possessed by a legion of demons. A man so broken, isolated, and powerless that no one could help him. Yet with a word, Jesus demonstrates His absolute authority over the forces of darkness. The demons know who He is, fear His authority, and can do nothing apart from His permission. The story of the demoniac is ultimately the story of every believer: This is who I was. This is what Jesus did. This is who I am now. No sin is too great. No stronghold is too powerful. No life is beyond the reach of Christ.
