When I am old and grey, this is exactly what my mind will drift back to... 🥹In the summer of 2024, we packed up the car for our very first official family vacation at Uncle Gene’s cabin on the lake. On that exact trip, we made a promise to keep coming back every single June to celebrate Milo's birthday. We fell so deeply in love with the lake life that we actually end up coming back twice every single summer now!As we pack up the car to head back for our 3rd summer and our 5th time unlocking that cabin door, looking back at this old footage feels like a total time capsule. The baby on the patio is officially running around, the birthday boy is getting so big, and my heart just aches with gratitude for how incredibly blessed we are to have these moments in time.If we are lucky enough to stand on this exact patio as grandparents someday, looking down at that same pier while our own grown children teach their babies how to fish... man, what a beautiful life that will be.
